What kind of storm maps can I upload?

Roofers Radar accepts maps from virtually any source — radar screenshots, weather app screenshots, insurance maps, TV weather graphics, or any storm image you can find. Our AI analyzes the image, identifies severity zones, and maps them to a geographic area. Different colors from different sources are all supported.

How fast do I get my leads?

Most orders complete in 1–3 minutes. Larger pulls with skip tracing may take up to 5 minutes. You can close the tab and come back — your order will be waiting in My Orders.

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Buy a credit pack up front — Scout (100K, $1,500), Chaser (500K, $5,500), Interceptor (2M, $15,000), or Commander (5M+, contact sales). Property-only: 1 credit per record. Property + Skip Tracing: 1 credit residential (up to 5 phones + 3 emails), 5 credits commercial (up to 10 phones + 6 emails — skip-traced on BOTH the property address AND the LLC mailing). Registered-agent mailings drop back to 1 credit.

What are credits?

Credits are how you pay for property pulls. Property-only plans: 1 credit = 1 record. Property + Skip Tracing: 1 credit residential (up to 5 phones + 3 emails), 5 credits commercial (up to 10 phones + 6 emails — pulled from both the property address and the LLC mailing address). When the LLC mailing belongs to a registered agent, we skip the second trace and only charge 1 credit.

Why is commercial skip tracing such a strong play?

Commercial owners hide behind LLCs. A standard skip on the property address only surfaces the entity — useless for outreach. We run a second trace on the LLC's mailing address to find the human who signs the check. One commercial record = up to 10 phones and 6 emails. 5 credits per record. Bigger jobs per answered call than residential.

Will I be charged for duplicate properties?

No. Our suppression system automatically detects properties you've already purchased in previous orders and removes them from your new pull. You only pay for new properties. We even give you a second file with the full storm area (new + previously owned) at no extra cost, so you have the complete list for door-knocking.

What happens if skip tracing doesn't find a match?

If we can't find phone numbers or emails for a property owner, that credit is automatically refunded. You'll see "No Match Found — Credit Refunded" in your CSV for those records.

We accept all major credit cards. Chaser, Interceptor, and Commander plans also support ACH bank transfers for lower processing fees.

Every record: unique Roofers Radar ID, full address + GPS, county and APN, owner names, owner mailing address, address validation, storm severity zone. With Phone Numbers & Emails: residential gets up to 5 phones + 3 emails (1 credit); commercial gets up to 10 phones + 6 emails (5 credits, pulled from both the target property and the owner's mailing address). All contacts include DNC flags, confidence scores, and TCPA screening.

What are phone numbers & emails?

When you add phone numbers & emails to your order, we find the current contact information for property owners. Residential: up to 5 phones + 3 emails for 1 credit. Commercial: up to 10 phones + 6 emails for 5 credits — we pull contacts from both the target property AND the owner's mailing address, so you can get around the LLC and reach the actual decision-maker.

Where does the property data come from?

All property data is sourced from professional providers that aggregate county assessor records, deed filings, and multiple national data sources. Data is refreshed regularly to ensure accuracy.

Can I filter for residential vs. commercial properties?

Yes. On the order screen you can choose Residential only, Commercial only, or both. You can also apply advanced filters like single-family only, older than 10 years, minimum square footage, and owner-occupied vs. absentee-owner.

What is the Storm Scoring Model?

Our Storm Scoring Model is a proprietary scorer that reads real-time National Weather Service data and turns it into a single number reflecting roofing-damage potential. It weighs hail intensity, wind, and observed damage signals against thresholds tuned for roofing claim potential. Every alert is then bucketed into one of five tiers so you can see at a glance which storms are worth chasing.

What is the possible score range?

Scores start at 0 and typically top out around 100 for truly catastrophic storms. The theoretical maximum is higher, but real-world alerts almost never exceed ~120. Here are the tier cutoffs: Minor = 0–2, Watch = 3–9, Severe = 10–24, Very Severe = 25–59, Extreme = 60+.

What does each tier mean for me as a roofer?

Extreme (60+) = catastrophic damage expected, totaled roofs, claims flooding in — top-priority lead list. Very Severe (25–59) = definite damage, high-quality leads. Severe (10–24) = likely damage on older shingles, solid lead potential. Watch (3–9) = conditions favorable but not guaranteed, monitor and prepare. Minor (0–2) = below the roofing damage threshold, unlikely to produce claims.

How is the score actually calculated?

The model reads both the structured NWS parameters and the alert narrative, weights them against thresholds tuned for roofing claim potential, and produces a single damage-potential score. Higher-confidence signals count for more than radar-only estimates. Exact weights are proprietary; practical outcome: every alert is tier-classified so you see at a glance which storms are worth chasing.

Why does a smaller-hail alert score "Severe" instead of higher?

Roofing-claim thresholds are baked into the model. Marginal hail rarely produces paid claims, while larger stones with strong winds are the sweet spot for adjuster-approved claims. The model reflects that reality and tiers alerts accordingly, so you can prioritize the storms most likely to convert when credits are tight.

Can I filter storms by score or tier?

Yes. The Active Storms section on the home page and the Storms Hub in your dashboard both have a "Very Severe or Higher Only" toggle that hides anything below the Very Severe tier. We're also working on a custom score-threshold slider for paid plans — reach out at support@roofersradar.com if that's important to your workflow and we'll prioritize it.

Does the score guarantee roof damage in the area?

Accepted Answer

No score can guarantee damage on the ground — NWS data reflects radar estimates and spotter reports, and hail patterns are patchy. The Storm Scoring Model is designed to rank alerts by damage potential so you invest credits where claims are most likely. Customers consistently report that Extreme- and Very-Severe-tier storms convert at a far higher rate than Severe or lower.

What files do I receive?

Every order generates a CSV and an Excel file. If you had suppression enabled (duplicates removed), you'll also get a "Full Area" version that includes all properties — both new leads and ones you already own — with a "Record Status" column so you can tell them apart.

How long are my download links valid?

Download links are valid for 12 months from the date of the order. We recommend downloading your files promptly and keeping your own backup.

Can I re-download a past order?

Yes. Go to My Orders, click on any completed order, and the download links will be right there.

What severity zones should I select?

Accepted Answer

Zone 1 (Storm Core) has the highest damage probability — start there if you want quality over quantity. Adding Zone 2 and 3 expands your reach. Zone 4 (Outer Ring) is marginal and best for large-scale mailer campaigns.

Can I add team members to my account?

Yes. You can invite team members from your account settings. Team members can place orders using your shared credit balance, and all orders are tracked by who placed them.

How do I update my payment method?

How do I cancel my account?

Roofers Radar is credit-based — there's no recurring subscription to cancel. Your credits are valid for 12 months. If you want to close your account entirely, contact us using the form below and we'll take care of it.

Is there a limit on how many orders I can place?

There is no hard limit on orders. You can place as many orders as your credit balance supports. Very large pulls (2M+ records) may take a few extra minutes to process.

Are there rate limits on the platform?

To keep the platform fast and reliable for everyone, Roofers Radar applies fair-use rate limits. Typical usage is never affected. If you plan on running extremely high-volume pulls or integrating via API, contact us to discuss your needs.

How many storm maps can I upload at once?

You process one storm map at a time. Once an order is submitted, you can immediately start a new upload while the previous order processes in the background.

Roofers Radar works best in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. We recommend Chrome for the best experience, especially when uploading large storm maps.

Can I use Roofers Radar on my phone?

The dashboard is optimized for desktop and tablet. You can view orders and download files on mobile, but uploading and processing storm maps works best on a larger screen.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Payments are processed by Stripe and we never store your full card number. Your order files are stored securely and accessible only to your account.

Absolutely not. Your orders, lead lists, and account data belong to you. We never share, sell, or re-distribute your pulled data to other customers or third parties.

Are phone numbers & emails compliant with DNC and TCPA regulations?

Our contact data includes DNC (Do Not Call) and TCPA screening flags on every phone number. Numbers flagged as DNC or TCPA litigators are clearly marked in your CSV so your team can filter them before calling. Always consult your own legal counsel regarding compliance for your specific outreach methods.

Refreshed daily from professional aggregators pulling directly from county assessors, deed filings, and national data sources. Typical end-to-end latency: 2–3 days from county recording to your pull. Faster than most roofing data vendors by a wide margin.
